A renovation of a Victorian family home in Edinburgh, thoughtfully reimagined for modern family life.

The brief was to create a home that felt calm, considered and effortlessly functional, balancing beautiful design with the realities of everyday living.

Through a complete redesign of the interior, we improved the flow of the home, introduced bespoke joinery throughout and layered warm, natural materials to create a timeless palette.

From the architectural details and lighting scheme to the furniture, finishes and styling, every element was designed to feel connected, resulting in a home that is refined, practical and made to evolve with the family for years to come.

The Before

Before work began, this family home had remained largely untouched for more than three (possibly more) decades. While full of potential, the layout no longer reflected modern family life, with disconnected spaces, dated finishes and limited natural flow. Our brief was to retain the home's character whilst completely rethinking how it functioned for everyday living.
