A compact spare room in a Dublin apartment, reimagined to work much harder. The brief was to create a flexible space that could function as a calm home workspace day-to-day, while easily transforming into a comfortable guest bedroom when needed.

A warm, Scandi-inspired foundation is layered with darker timber, muted blues, subtle pattern and more traditional details, creating a space that feels collected rather than overly designed. A daybed, dedicated workspace and considered storage make the most of the footprint, while layered lighting, full-length curtains and tactile textiles bring warmth and character.

Designed to evolve with the rest of the apartment, the scheme leaves room for books, artwork and pieces collected over time — a small but hardworking room that balances practicality with personality.
